Everything we get asked across temp power, generators, and jobsite internet — grouped by service so you can jump to what you need.

Generator Rentals

How fast can you deliver a rental in San Francisco?

Most SF-area deliveries are next-day. Same-day is possible for emergencies when a unit is on the yard — call and we’ll check.

What sizes do you stock?

Diesel and natural-gas units from 25kW to 500kW. Common rentals: 25kW for small sites, 100kW for mid-sized, 250–500kW for large multifamily, commercial, and PSPS coverage.

Are your generators Tier 4 Final certified?

Yes. Every unit in our fleet is EPA Tier 4 Final certified — required on most public works and air-quality-restricted sites.

Do you deliver fuel?

Yes. Fuel delivery is included on a scheduled basis. We monitor fuel level remotely and dispatch before you run dry.

Can you cover a PSPS event?

Yes — and customers on a standing rental contract get priority during regional shutoff events. We pre-stage units in affected zones when the PSPS forecast goes red.

Generator Service & Repair

Do you service all brands?

Yes — our techs work on every major residential and commercial generator brand. Tell us the manufacturer and model when you call and we’ll bring the right parts.

How often should I service my generator?

Manufacturers require annual PM at minimum — many recommend twice yearly for commercial units. Heavy-use cycles (PSPS season, post-storm run) trigger additional service.

What's included in a PM contract?

Oil and filter change, air filter, spark plugs or fuel filters as applicable, coolant check, battery test, controller diagnostics, transfer-switch operation test, and a written report with photos. Load-bank test is annual on commercial PM contracts.

Can you do emergency repair if my unit fails during an outage?

Yes. We dispatch 24/7 across the SF metro. PM contract customers get priority. If we can’t fix it on the spot, we’ll get a rental unit on-site while we order parts.

Do you handle warranty claims?

Yes. We coordinate the claim with your unit’s manufacturer and handle the paperwork on your behalf, so you don’t have to call the factory or wait on hold.

New Generator Installation

How long does a residential install take in San Francisco?

From signed proposal to commissioned unit is typically 4–8 weeks — most of that is permitting and unit lead time. Actual on-site install is usually 2–3 days.

Will it run my whole house?

It can. A whole-house automatic transfer switch covers every circuit. Many homeowners choose a smaller unit with an essential-circuits ATS — kitchen, fridge, internet, HVAC, a couple of bedrooms — which costs less and uses less fuel.

Natural gas, propane, or diesel?

Natural gas for almost every SF home — unlimited fuel via the utility, no tank to refill, cleaner than diesel. Propane works where gas isn’t available. Diesel for off-grid or large commercial only.

Do you handle permits?

Yes — electrical, gas, and (where required) building permits, all pulled by us. The permit fee passes through; coordination is included.

What about warranty and ongoing service?

Manufacturer warranty starts on commissioning day — typically 5 years on most residential units, longer on commercial. The first-year PM is included with the install, so you’re inspection-ready when the contract renews.
